PARTNERSHIP VINEYARDS
Riebeek Cellars launched Partnership Vineyards in 2004, formally known as Highlands farm. Starting out with a few wines and a big dream, the project grew into a reality and Partnership Vineyards is now a successful business centered on empowerment. The farm is situated 8kms out of Malmesbury and got Fairtrade accreditation in 2010. More than growing some of the best quality fruit in the Swartland area, the farm has realised the hopes and longings of many of the people living and working in the Riebeek Valley.

151 previously disadvantaged people from the Riebeek Valley are partners in the farm. The 60ha of land are own by the farm workers (40%) and the cellar workers (40%), with the remaining 20% belonging to Riebeek Cellars, who is responsible for the marketing. Given the recent certification, the farm has not yet benefited fro the Fairtrade premium.
